Hi Dave,

Yes you can. You can download as well, but only Safari supports downloads to the photo library.

A couple things:

  1. I have noticed that when uploading from the photo library, the iphone can significantly pre-compress (too much in my opinion.) the video, so you might transfer it to DropBox or move it to your iCloud files and choose to upload it from there. I find this gets around this issue.
  2. iPhones now have an option in the camera settings to either shoot with the H.264 codec (most compatible) or HDR which is not very compatible. Because of this, we are running into some issues when folks upload the less compatible files, so I do recommend making sure that setting is set to H.264. The HDR files won’t even play properly in a web browser, so I would keep that in mind.

So then from my iphone would I upload via Safari? Or, is there an app?

No you can upload from any browser, either safari or chrome.
