Hey Craig,

How can I add a black backdrop onto the subtitle text?

I’m not using the Instagram version that has a block at the top and bottom, I’m using the only YouTube option where there is no block and the subtitles are right on the video.
I would like to create a block around the text so that it’s easier to read.
Please advise.

Sure thing Jordon.

Use the paint bucket on the Subtitle Design Bar. You can also add a shadow to it, add rounded corners or use the transparency slider in the color pop up to make it partially transparent.
