Subtitle/Headline Bar Height Adjustment

Hi Craig, 
I hate to sound like a pain…but I’m trying ANYTHING to avoid tediously captioning inside FCP.   always appreciate how responsive you are. Thank you for that. 

1. Headline/Subtitle Bars – I know NOTHING about coding…but is there any way the subtitle bar height can be made adjustable like your headline bar? For the headline, I can set the bar to just cover the text. On the subtitle bar, I cant make that happen. And, the bar takes up more real estate than necessary. I’ve attached pics with the bars highlighted so you know to what I’m referring. 

I can only upload two images per post…so I’ll post a second question 
Looking forward to your guidance…because it’s going to keep me from drowning my laptop.
