How to get solid color behind vertical video?

HelpdeskCategory: QuestionsHow to get solid color behind vertical video?

Hi there,

So I’m playing around with Clipscribe for the 1st time and have a question. I’ve been messing around with templates for an IGTV video for instagram. It seems that on the right and left sides of the video…is a blurry background showing the video in a darker form. I’m wanting the padding on the sides of the vertical video to be solid white instead. Is there a way to do that? Thank you!

@Melanie Hersch Hi Melanie!!

So glad you are giving us a go.
I would check out this video about making content for IGTV. I highly recommend shooting horizontally to avoid needing the sidebars at all:

But as far as the white sides, it isn’t a built in feature at the moment, but let me see if I can resolve that for you.
Back in a bit….

Hey Melanie.

So just to get you up and going I added this to your account. A couple of caveats..

  1. It will only work currently on your main finished video, not on the preview videos you see on the editor page.
  2. It might take a bit longer to encode these due to the way I am doing it. I will work on the process to speed it up, but wanted to get you up and running quick.

Let me know how it goes!
