My HDR Recorded Video Loses Color and Quality When uploaded

HelpdeskCategory: QuestionsMy HDR Recorded Video Loses Color and Quality When uploaded
Alberto Lopez asked 3 years ago

I have uploaded several videos where originally are HDR and the colors are well balanced and crisp.Upon uploading them into clipscribe they have repeatedly downgraded the color resolution and the quality. Please explain how to avoid this issues going forward. Very tedious and ruins workflow.Thanks.

@Alberto Lopez Hi Alberto! Thanks for the question. Can you clarify, when you are comparing the quality are you comparing it to the preview video you see in the editor or with the final downloaded finished version?
Thanks!

Ok all set. This is a new issue having to do with a new video codec. I’ve only seen it once before but had built in a contingency for it into our encoder. I added you to that contigency so you should be all set. Note, I haven’t added the mod to the preview video you see when you edit yet, but your downloaded video will come out right. I’ll probably go ahead and add it to the preview editor as well pretty soon. I just want to make sure the new code doesn’t cause any negative issues.

I already re-ran the video above so you can re-download it. If you have any other videos, just re-make them. Any other issues just let me know.

Thanks!

Hey appreciate you taking a look at it. However, the colors on the download are still flat although the quality is a little bit better.

Again, its the colors that don’t remain vibrant and lose their potency when uploaded into the editor here.

I’m positive it’s an inconvenience to have to adjust colors before and after using this platform.

Thank you.

And just to clarify I downloaded after editing and still colors were flat, in case you were going to ask if I made sure to download before assessing the colors.

Thanks.

I uploaded a photo. On one the fully rendered and downloaded video from clipscribe. The next the original file in it\’s HDR form.
