Subtitles generated on Facebook causing an issue!

Hi gys,

I’d like to post videos on Facebook once I edit them and get the subtitles correct. However, Facebook now seem to be generating their own subtitles so the two overlap! It looks messy. I film landscape and there doesn’t seem to be an option in the templates with just a banner across the top so that facebook’s own subtitles cross the bottom. Am I missing an option? Or does it need to be filmed in portrait? Any advice appreciated and I hope I’m making sense!

Kevin.

Hi Kelvin,

You can turn off Facebook’s subtitles when you upload your video, so I would recommend that unless you prefer them for some reason.

You can also turn our subtitles off if you want to use their subtitles. We have a little eye icon on the subtitle design options in the editor. Just toggle that and the subtitles won’t show up when you export your video.

If I can help further, please let me know.

Thanks!

Craig
