Just uploaded first video which was taken in portrait mode. When choosing it only gave me option of 9:16 and no bar at top or bottom which I wanted to have for subtitles. How do I get these bars?

Hi Phil,
With vertical videos there is no room to put the bars on top or bottom. You would need to upload a video smaller than vertical so we have room to add them which is what I recommend anyway. Ideally a regular HD horizontal video.
You can still put text blocks over your vertical video though.
Click Add headline, position it how you want it, then click the paint bucket to add a background to it.
